Cleo Communications has released version 3.5 of VersaLex, the software that forms the basis of the vendor's VersaLex Suite of data-transfer applications. The new VersaLex features load balancing, which automatically distributes volume among available servers. The software performs daily checks of the renewal dates for support contracts as they are about to expire. If the contract has been updated, a new license is automatically applied. Similar automatic notification capability is provided for Partner/CA certificates that are about to expire or have expired. Instead of manually requesting a pre-configured host from Cleo, users of the latest version can access current hosts right from the software. VersaLex retrieves the preconfigured hosts directly from the Cleo website for up-to-date access. The VersaLex Suite comprises the vendor's LexiCom, VersaLex Trader and VersaLex Proxy products.
