Aravo Solutions, Inc., a vendor of supplier information management (SIM) software, has entered into a strategic partnership with WSP Environment & Energy, an consulting firm on environmental issues affecting business. Together the companies will offer software and services targeting the corporate sustainability and environmental-compliance markets. The first offering under the partnership is a free, 90-day subscription to the Aravo software service for supply-chain carbon discovery. Up to five buyers can test the product with up to 2,000 suppliers for the term of the subscription. Prospective customers can "test-drive" the product with no financial investment or long-term commitment, the companies said. WSP's global team consists of more than 1,000 consultants with expertise in energy and carbo issues. Aravo's applications are offered in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. Aravo SIM provides an on-demand framework for managing supplier information within enterprise resource planning and electronic procurement applications such as Oracle, SAP and Ariba. Aravo's newest module, Arava Sustain, allows global buying organizations to obtain, analyze and manager sustainability data, such as supplier and factory regulatory compliance, toxic substances monitoring, carbon footprinting and fair labor practices.
