Identec Solutions has partnered with InSync Solutions, Inc. to provide customers with a complete set of asset-management tools. Identec is a vendor of active radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. InSync is an RFID software company. The deal will allow customers to deploy wireless tracking and tracing technology in tandem with business process optimization for global asset management, the companies said. Identec will act as original equipment manager for InSync's Edgeware platform, for the development of asset-management applications. Edgeware is a Web-based development platform for RFID, GPS and other asset-locating technologies. It features a range of configurable service, predefined workflows and management utilities. Drawing on the Edgeware platform, Identec Solutions will be able to integrate enterprise software, provide dynamic business logic and display consolidated information through Rich Internet Application (RIA) dashboards. Identec relies on a global network of strategic channel partners to provide customers with systems for identifying, tracking and managing assets.
