A Solutions-Driven Conference For Distribution Logistics Professionals

February 17, 2020

The Warehousing Education and Research Council’s annual conference brings distribution logistics professionals together with innovative companies and thought leaders to create connections and share solutions that will drive the industry forward.

In 2020, the event takes place in Providence, Rhode Island, May 3 - 6.

“Warehousing and logistics is a vast industry that intersects all borders and sectors,” WERC CEO Michael Mikitka says. “The WERC Annual Conference brings people out of their facilities and presents them with innovative approaches and tested solutions that will improve operations.”

Roughly 1,000 distribution logistics professionals attend the conference each year.

For the first time in 2020, WERC will offer groundbreaking new Solutions Studio Sessions, which will bring attendees and vendors together to talk about industry products and services in a zero-pressure group setting. These Solutions Studio Sessions will be fully integrated into the conference agenda. Attendees will get access to quality information without enduring high-pressure sales tactics on the showroom floor, and vendors -- known as Solutions Partners at WERC conferences -- will access an engaged, captive audience and higher quality leads.

Conference attendees will continue to enjoy inspiring mainstage and thought leader presentations, peer-driven educational sessions, group discussions, facility tours and networking events. It is an unrivaled opportunity to explore industry priorities like labor management, automation, safety and more.

“In warehousing, we all share similar opportunities and challenges, but the practicalities of our sector —whether it be manufacturing, health care, retail or one of the many other possibilities — give us very different perspectives,” Mikitka says. “WERC is the unifier and the aggregator of expertise from across the industry, helping our members create connections and share solutions to drive the industry forward.”

Registration is open online at werc.org/2020. Registrants can enjoy exclusive savings if they are a WERC member, use WERC’s official hotel reservations partner or register early before March 25, 2020. WERC is also now accepting applications from organizations wishing to host a Solutions Studio Session or otherwise participate in the Solutions Partner Program.

WERC is the only professional organization focused on distribution logistics management and its role in the supply chain. Since its foundation in 1977, WERC has offered resources that help distribution practitioners and suppliers stay on top in our dynamic, variable field. These include national, regional, local and online educational events; performance metrics for benchmarking; practical research; expert insights; Facility Assessment and Certification program; and multiple opportunities for peer-to-peer knowledge exchange.
