Deacom, Inc. has added the Deacom document linker to its Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system. Functioning as an extension of the vendor's electronic document-management system, the tool allows manufacturers to link an unlimited number of transactional documents to their corresponding transactions for easy access in a single ERP system. The document-management capability built into Deacon's software lets manufacturers store any electronic files throughout the main ERP system. The document linker uses barcodes to link documents such as delivery tickets and packing lists to their respective transactions. With the Document Linker, users can scan and import mass quantities of barcoded documents into the ERP systems. The documents are automatically linked to corresponding transactions such as sales or purchase orders, based on the barcoded information. Deacom specializes in accounting and ERP software for building components, process and mixed-mode manufacturers with difficult-to-handle requirements.
