Clark Construction Group and its subsidiary Atkinson Construction have licensed Verian Technologies Purchase-to-Pay software. Neither Clark, which reports more than $3bn in annual revenue and major projects throughout the United States, nor Atkinson had enough visibility into the details of the goods and services they were buying, especially across the two companies. They needed a system that would help them enforce a purchasing policy and capture the two companies' combined spending. Their objective is to look for opportunities to reduce costs by negotiating greater volume discounts and enforcing purchasing from vendors with whom they have contracts.
"We were looking for an easy-to-use, web-based system that would allow us to gain more control and consolidate everything into one process," says Troy Vallier, CFO for Atkinson Construction. "After our evaluations and due diligence, Verian Technologies' Purchase-to-Pay solution was the clear choice to help us achieve our objectives."
Vallier says the companies will benefit from the system's automated reporting, approval workflow and audit trails.
