Sokymat Automotive GmbH, a maker of components for radio frequency identification (RFID), has extended its transponder range for the management of waste and warehouse logistics. The vendor is marketing two new products, the Slim Tag and Waste Bin Tag. Both operate at UHF frequencies, feature durable cases and are available with Electronic Product Code (EPC) Class 1 Gen 2 chips. The tags offer long read range and a high rate of data transfer, according to Sokymat. The Slim Tag is especially well suited for managing logistics in large warehouse environments, including pallet, vehicle and container tracking; tool identification, and process control. The Waste Bin Tag tracks waste containers and enables automatic measurement of the weight of the waste. Introduction of the new transponders marks the expansion of Sokymat's product range beyond low-frequency tags operating between 120 kHz and 140 kHz, and high-frequency transponders at 13.56 MHZ.
