BlueStar Inc. is now distributing the Warehouse Management and Field Service applications of Oracle Corp. BlueStar is a distributor of numerous auto ID, point-of-sale, mobility and radio frequency identification products. It recently earned Certified Partner status in Oracle's PartnerNetwork. Oracle Warehouse Management automates and optimizes material-handling processes. It supports inbound, outbound and reverse logistics; finished, raw and work-in-process materials; manufacturing and distribution environments, and various value-added services. The application is part of the Oracle E-Business Suite, and integrates with other Oracle logistics software. Oracle Field Service automates the process of dispatching field technicians to service calls in remote locations. An Assignment Manager is designed to eliminate guesswork surrounding qualification, availability and geographic relevance of each field-service technician. The tool can accurately predict a window-to-promise for service delivery, BlueStar said. Oracle Field Service is also part of the Oracle E-Business Suite.
