Vizion launched its new Intermodal Rail Tracking feature June 21 to improve the end-to-end visibility of supply chains while complementing the company's pre-existing ocean freight tracking capabilities.

The Intermodal Rail Tracking solution eliminates the need for a lengthy letter of authorization process as well as separate transactions for ocean and rail freight tracking. Now, companies can receive location updates for any container in transit by placing a single tracking request with the new Vizion tool. Additionally, the feature will give organizations insights into critical inland events that take place at railyards and other locations, allowing users to avoid freight fees while also helping them determine when their cargo can be retrieved.
