Multi-modal transportation management system (TMS) Princeton TMX is launching a new sustainability tool to help shippers measure and track their carbon footprint.

The tool collects carbon emission information gathered at the point of shipment execution using loading data within the TMS. It also features on-demand reports and dashboards so that shippers can track their CO₂ emission performance in realtime, and drive decision-making for sustainability initiatives. 

“The shipper community has become increasingly aware of the importance of reducing their carbon footprint within their supply chain,” Princeton TMX CEO Mark McEntire said. "Access to timely, accurate carbon emission data at the point of shipment execution will further enable shippers to reduce their carbon footprint and create more sustainable transportation networks.”
