Avery Dennison is partnering with Controlant to offer a new IoT device to help with end-to-end product visibility across the pharmaceutical supply chain. 

This comes in the form of the Saga Card, which offers real-time inventory data at the city, region, and country level for pharmaceutical providers, packaging providers and logistics companies. As various medicines cross handover points, the Saga Card allows those companies to monitor and control their inventories. 

"The new IoT device extends the visibility to the point of care or the patient by tracking the product on the unit or case level, addressing the needs of the dynamic cold chain market where selecting the right solutions is crucial based on the value, urgency, and requirements of the medicines being shipped," Avery Dennison senior director of healthcare, Barbara van Rymenam, said. 

The device combines Controlant's Aurora cloud platform with Avery Dennison's digital ID technology and advanced roll-to-roll processing.
