U.K. car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has said it will resume some production in the "coming days" after a cyberattack forced it to suspend operations. Meanwhile, the U.K. government said it will underwrite a £1.5 billion ($2.02 billion) loan guarantee to JLR in order to support its suppliers, according to BBC News.
Work at JLR’s three U.K. factories were halted on September 1, after a cyberattack the night before. The BBC says manufacturing is scheduled to resume first at the engine facility in Wolverhampton on October 6, and production at other plants will have a phased return.

Industry sources said it’s likely to be several weeks before the production lines are running at full capacity.
In a note to JLR staff on September 29, the company said the "foundational work of our recovery programme is firmly underway," and the phased restart was to ensure IT systems were brought back in a "safe and secure manner."
Companies in JLR's supply chain, many facing bankruptcy, welcomed the news.
