Precimed Inc., a Swiss medical technology company focusing on the design and development of instruments for the orthopedic implant market, has gone live with EzMed, a mySAP All-in-One solution from Answerthink that is preconfigured with best practices and functionality specifically for medical device manufacturers. The solution will be hosted for Precimed by SAP Managed Solutions under a 36-month contract.
EzMed is part of Answerthink's EzLifeSciences family of preconfigured solutions designed specifically to help life sciences companies achieve streamlined product development, medical device manufacture reporting automation, and regulatory compliance. Answerthink, a business and technology consulting firm, notes that mySAP All-in-One products are industry-specific software, implementation and training solutions developed by SAP partners using SAP applications.
"Using industry best practices from SAP and Answerthink, Precimed has installed a fully validated system that is up and running in just 21 weeks," says Jeffrey Stello, Precimed chief financial officer. "Answerthink and SAP Managed Services have enabled us to install and go live faster than we imagined was possible."
Based in Orvin, Switzerland, Precimed's North American headquarters are in Exton, Pa. Its leading products, including instrumentation for hip and knee replacement, trauma and spine, are sold worldwide to more than 260 orthopedic OEM customers.
