Accellos, a vendor of supply-chain execution software, has made generally available a newly built environment for managed data hosting. According to the company, the venture offers enhanced security, reliability, speed and capabilities to customers seeking off-premise hosting. Sited in Denver, Co., the facility is co-located with ViaWest Corp., which maintains 15 data centers throughout the U.S. The new service offers performance-based routing through direct connectivity with six of the major independent software providers in the U.S. The arrangement pushes traffic over the fastest link in real time, Accellos said. The facility features N+1 cooling and power, with thermal scans performed twice yearly to ensure proper air flow. Load-balanced network topology offers full active/active load balancing failover, minimizing downtime. Multiple devices can service requests simultaneously. Up-to-date modularized racking and cabling allow for easy management of existing infrastructure, along with simplified expansion for new infrastructure.
