IDC Insights, a series of industry-specific research and advisory services, has launched what it calls the IDC Manufacturing Insights Community and the IDC Retail Insights Community, the latest additions to the IDC Insights Community, a technology purchasing group launched started earlier this year. In the spirit of social networking, the goal of the community is to create a forum for IT and business professionals to discuss technology issues within the context of their business. Specifically, the analysts with IDC Manufacturing and Retail Insights will look to tackle some of today's most pressing trends, including the future of the automotive industry, cloud computing, customer experience, factories of the future, M2M, retail PLM and sourcing, sustainability and supply chain risk.
Members will be invited to participate in blog discussions, forums and polls; share best practices, tips, tricks and tools related to business/technology alignment; network with colleagues; and provide feedback to IDC analysts and peers.
