Flash Global Logistics, a provider of single-source supply chain solutions for critical parts and products, realized its strongest six-month period in company history in the first half of this year, continuing its growth momentum, the company has announced.
Over the first six months of 2009, Flash added 66 locations in China to its global network of more than 700 forward stocking locations (FSLs) and beefed up its existing distribution, customs clearance and importer/exporter of record (IOR/EOR) capabilities, as well as added several veteran professionals to the team.
Over the past few months, Flash said, it experienced business growth via new clients, including companies like GlassHouse Technologies Inc., as well as through organic growth of increased capabilities, global presence and team strength, attracting several talented and proven professionals.
"Flash is supporting a growing part of our business, especially in the Asia/Pacific region," said Brian Ritchie, senior vice president and general manager of the Support and Managed Services Division with GlassHouse Technologies. "And we have full confidence in their ability to help us keep our worldwide customers satisfied with high performance and unparalleled support."
"As companies seek new ways to beat the tough economy they are filling the gap with proven, savvy, critical logistics solutions," said Jim van Leenen, CEO and president of Flash Global Logistics. "Therefore, recognition of Flash Global Logistics' growth is proof-positive that organizations around the globe are more effectively managing their global logistics initiatives and realizing a notable return on investment as a result."
To handle the growth of its business and client base, Flash has attracted several supply chain professionals, including:
