CMA CGM is resuming its Yang Tse container service between south, central and north China and the U.S. West Coast. Operating in partnership with Maersk Line and MSC, the service will deploy six vessels, each with capacity of 6,500 twenty-foot equivalent units. The port rotation will be Xiamen, Shanghai (Wai Gao Qiao), Qingdao, Long Beach, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong and back to Xiamen. The service is in response to a rebound of volumes in the China-U.S. transpacific trade, the carrier said. It will complement the group's existing Bohai Rim and Pearl River services between China and the U.S. West Coast, with the addition of three calls in Xiamen (eastbound), Hong Kong and Qingdao, as well as an extra call in Shanghai. The first call in the Yang Tse service is scheduled to take place on July 19 at Xiamen.
