E-sourcing software developer Iasta Inc. says that added functionality in its new SmartSource 7.0 platform simplifies the online sourcing contract management and procurement process.

 SmartSource 7.0 integrates feature enhancements for bid management, a more user-friendly management dashboard, unique document libraries with analysis tools and reports, and contract management with user-defined fields.

Iasta, Carmel, Ind., says some primary differences from previous versions of SmartSource are the addition of a totally new module for sourcing contract management and a more classification/category style point of view from a "sourcing cockpit." This newest release includes functional enhancements to the industry's "most powerful" decision optimization engine, which enables users to analyze complex award scenarios with constraint-based filters. In a related matter, Iasta has also released the SmartAnalytics platform. Iasta says this new application brings clients the ability to get true visibility into corporate spend by delivering real-time user control over classification rules and user-defined reports, dimensions and spend cubes.
