Laufer Group International Announces 'Give-Back' Program For 2010

December 16, 2010
The Laufer Group

Laufer Group International is proud to announce their 2010 Holiday Season 'Give-Back' initiative.

The Give Back program was established by the Laufer Group in response to the strong need to keep key organizations that provide emotional and financial support to the less fortunate, from becoming non-existent due to a lack of financial support.

"We are very fortunate to have had a successful year and this was the time to share and give back to such organizations that have helped people here in the United States and aboard, whether it be in the arts and entertainment, environment, or for medical research," states Mark Laufer, President of the Laufer Group.

The Give Back Program allowed each Laufer employee across the United States to set aside a dollar amount to donate to an organization or charities of their choosing.   All 130 Laufer employees actively participated in the program.

"The diversity of the programs that will be supported by our 2010 Give Back program is very indicative of the diversity of great employees we have within the organization.  The enthusiasm this was met with shows me, that we have a great team here and we are doing our best to help people within our surrounding communities," continues Mark Laufer.

Maritza Melendez of Laufer New York, chose the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association.  "My nephew was born with PWS." Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is the most common known genetic cause of life-threatening obesity in children. Although the cause is complex it results from an abnormality on the 15th chromosome. It occurs in males and females equally and in all races.

"With continued support to the PWS Association, children with PWS can expect to accomplish many of the things their peers do, hopefully this contribution will drive us further to making the lives of PWS children better."
