Innovative Routines International Inc. (IRI), maker of the CoSort software for high-volume data processing on Unix, Linux and Windows, is now offering an optional dashboard application for displaying business information in visual formats. Dashboards help to automate and unify source data across multiple departments or business lines, the company noted. They can also help managers to monitor data in order to make quick changes in marketing, sales or distribution strategies. CoSort's SortCL tool performs all of the necessary pre-processing in a single pass, so that dashboard displays are made possible, even with the use of large source files and tables. Back-end staging and scrubbing can involve sort, join, aggregation, encryption and other remapping operations, so that accurate and secure data subsets can be exported to the dashboard. SortCL outputs data in CSV and XML formats, which are compatible with dashboard import standards. In offering an optional dashboard application, IRI said it is connecting the fundamental parts of the customer information lifecycle, allowing users to move more seamlessly from data processing to presentation.
