CargoWise edi, a provider of software to support global freight forwarding and logistics activities, has signed a collaboration agreement with Agency Sector Management (UK), a United Kingdom-based developer of customs brokerage software. The deal combines CargoWise's ediEnterprise global platform with the customs-processing capabilities of ASM's Global eCargo Management System (GeMS), giving customers an integrated system for import and export customs messaging. The result, the two companies claimed, is "an all-encompassing freight management system." ASM's technology provides import and export processing and documentation capabilities for the ocean and air communities.
