New Momentum, a vendor of supply chain risk-management software for companies that incorporate electronic components into their products, has issued a new release of its Brand Protection software. According to the company, the release makes it easier to protect intellectual property from counterfeiters, and detect sales through unauthorized channels. Drawing on Microsoft .NET 3.0 technology, the latest Brand Protection features an enhanced executive dashboard, offering quick highlights of real-time information while easing the rapid customization of brand-protection analytics, and the visualization of new events, problems and trends. It also allows for faster adaptation to new requirements for searches, along with improved analytics, reporting and alerting. According to New Momentum, the tool provides greater visibility into the open market via a broader variety of sources, including forums, business-to-business sites, search engines and gray-market e-mail activity.
