Motek says it has installed its Priya warehouse management system at Spire Group Ltd.'s refrigerated warehouse in Montreal. Plans call for Spire, through subsidiaries Everest Cold Storage and Arctic Cold Storage, to implement Priya over the next five years in Toronto and Calgary, and in China, India, Romania, Russia, the United States, and Ukraine.

"Our goal of building smart warehouses requires a state-of-the art WMS that can be consistently deployed in multiple languages and locations across our rapidly growing global customer base, quickly, easily and reliably," said Robb Lockie, IT director for Everest Cold Storage. "Priya's quick formula for easy deployment at our Montreal facility has demonstrated the capabilities we need to roll out a solution of this magnitude."

Motek says Priya offers robust functionality, including engineered labor standards, third-party logistics billing, flexible reports, and voice-enabled RF picking capabilities. Priya's Windows-based product architecture will enable individual warehouses within the Spire network to "quickly and easily" configure Priya to support customer-specific requirements without custom programming, says Motek.
