It will complement the carrier's existing fortnightly PAD 1 service. CMA CGM will provide weekly services to and from Australia and New Zealand, Central and South America, the Caribbean, East Coast of North America and Canada. PAD 2 will also make direct calls in New Zealand's North and South Islands, providing greater reefer capacity. CMA-CGM has also expanded its service in Southern Africa, with the launch of the Rhino Express feeder. The new service offers extended coverage of five ports in Mozambique, including new calls at Quelimane and Pemba; development of cabotage in Mozambique; improved transit time from India, the Middle East, Europe and the South American east coast to Maputo and Beira; and a direct connection between Mozambique and Durban.
