Hear from Lenovo, Cisco, Lear, Nokia, Infineon to Learn Supply Chain Risk Management Strategies

Global manufacturers continued to seek for new growth after suffering the upheavals in the world. Coping with pressures such as product recalls, disruption by earthquake and severe economic stress, supply chain risk management has been prioritized as a distinctly important matter. 

In regards to the challenge, a new approach to improve the competitiveness and future resilience of supply chain will be highlighted at the Manufacturing Supply Chain Officer Summit, March 26-27 2014 in Shanghai, China. (http://ilpgf.com/neslbc/)

"The economy is in turmoil, market demand is highly volatile, socio-demographic developments are shifting the market landscape and natural disasters are disrupting supply chains around the globe." said Dr Omera Khan, the Director of The Logistics Institute and Deputy Head of Management Systems from Hull University Business School. "The traditional approach to business and supply chains has to be reconfigured in the face of this unstable global climate. Supply chain considerations have to be part of the business strategy and product design from the start. "

Dr Omera are now working on a project on investigate how companies identify and manage cyber and information risks in the global supply chain with Dr Adrian from PwC. Next month, she will attend the summit as a conference chairwoman, showing delegates how to benchmark their strategy with examples of best practice case studies, facilitating decision making with a supply chain management framework.
