eZCom Software has selected Extol International, a provider of business-to-business integration software for mid-sized companies, to create a hosted version of self-service electronic data interchange (EDI) and multi-company integration tools. ezCom has adopted the Extol Business Integrator as its integration engine, combining self-service EDI with the concept of software as a service (SaaS). ezCom's Lingo software is a Web-based application which supplies a browser interface designed around individual companies' trading needs, in the manner of an electronic-commerce passport. Lingo allows companies to converse with any trading partner, regardless of format or communication language, managing multiple trading relationships and e-commerce standards with the click of a mouse. With the deployment of Extol Business Integrator, eZCom can add customers faster and easier than before, Extol said. ezCom first installed the Extol Business Integrator last summer, to automate the on-boarding of customers' partners. As a result, new partners can be added to a customer's profile in a matter of minutes, the vendor said.
