"Our existing operations in Dallas-area that utilize advanced technology to fulfill customer orders are now home to a Prime Now hub that is fueling this super-fast delivery," says Dave Clark, Amazon’s senior vice president of worldwide operations. In 2013, Amazon opened two fulfillment centers in the Dallas area.

Prime Now is launching in select Dallas-area zip codes and is expected to expand rapidly to additional zip codes in Dallas and surrounding areas soon. All Prime members can download the Prime Now app, available on iOS and Android devices, and will be notified when the service is available in their local area. In Dallas, Prime Now is available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. Two-hour delivery is free and one-hour delivery is available for $7.99 in most zip codes.
