Sentry Logistics Solutions has created a foreign trade zone (FTZ) with a focus on international companies in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. The FTZ is part of Sentry's existing menu of services for life science organizations that import high volumes of materials such as active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical manufacturing materials and biopharmaceutical components into the U.S. The new service features import and export management, along with customized storage, logistics and distribution services. As part of the offering, Sentry assesses and handles proper U.S. customs documentation and procedures on behalf of clients. It also stores and distributes clients' products from a 50,000-square-foot cold-chain storage and distribution center in Indianapolis, Ind. Sentry's operation is located in FTZ #72, covering the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
