Labelmaster, the manufacturer of products for complying with regulations governing the shipment and handling of hazardous materials, has released its 2008 catalog. The 576-page publication features more than 3,500 new products. Labelmaster has expanded its offerings of facility-management and safety products such as lockout/tagout, bollards, heaters, signs and spill kits, as well as personal-protection items such as gloves, safety glasses and hard hats. The 2008 catalog is available from Labelmaster at no charge. In a related announcement, Labelmaster is distributing the 2008 edition of the Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG), the first update in four years. The publication is the cornerstone of many emergency-response plans and incident-management systems. It provides a standardized approach for first responders, in the event of an incident involving hazardous materials. The ERG is developed jointly by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Transport Canada, Secretariat of Communications and Transportation of Mexico, and with the collaboration of Argentina's Center for Information on Chemical Emergencies.
