SA2 Worldsync is the name of a new joint venture between SINFOS GmbH and Agentrics LLC, offering global data-synchronization for the retail industry. The companies each operate large global data pools. The combined operation, headquartered in Cologne, Germany, represents more than 50 of the world's leading retailers. It aids more than 2,600 suppliers in aligning and synchronizing master data, such as product, case and pallet information, with retailers through the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN). SA2 Worldsync said it would offer in North America the first free synchronization program for small and mid-sized suppliers, enabling businesses to self-publish data for up to 10 items, or 20 global trade identification numbers, at no charge. The company's services can support any size of company, including small entities that require a basic program and various levels of support. SA2 Worldsync said it will continue to advocate the adoption of global standards. The company supports new effort such as price and product-image synchronization. It claims to offer the only data pool that is operating on three continents--Europe, North America and Asia.
