JDA Software Group, Inc. has teamed up with Amber Road to offer customers software and services related to global trade management. JDA is a vendor of applications for supply-chain and revenue management. Management Dynamics sells global trade-management software for importers, exporters, logistics service providers and carriers. The new alliance brings together JDA's transportation and logistics management software with Amber Roads' Global Trade Management (GTM) suite. The integrated offering provides network-design and trade-strategy tools to determine the optimal supply-chain configuration for global sourcing and distribution. Electronic-commerce services integrate various execution-type applications and extend business processes to suppliers, transportation providers and logistics service providers. Visibility and performance-management features can monitor and measure all order, shipment and inventory flows. Multimodal shipment planning and execution capabilities help customers to improve their fulfillment through inventory diversions and direct-to-store delivery, the partners said. Restricted-party screening integrates at key points of the order-planning and shipment process, to ensure that goods are not sold to a prohibited entity. Users can also streamline the entry process and better manage total landed costs, the companies said.
