JDA Software Group, Inc. has opened a new local support and services center in China. The move is in response to growing demand from local manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers for additional supply-chain services, the vendor said. JDA said it will quadruple the number of Chinese nationals available to serve existing and future customers in China in various roles, including support, consulting and sales, over the next two years. The company is also opening a new support center in Shanghai, staffed by experts in retail and supply-chain management, who will offer workshops on global best practices and other educational opportunities to local business. JDA sells software in support of supply-chain optimization and merchandising.
