Tideworks Technology Inc., a provider of software for freight terminal management and planning, has opened a regional representative office in Singapore. Thiagu Goundan will act as regional director of Asia Pacific for Tideworks at that location. Previously, he spent eight years with the company as development manager for one of Tideworks' principal product lines, Mainsail Terminal Management System. Tideworks offers a suite of products for dedicated and multi-purpose terminals, comprising five applications: Mainsail Terminal Management System, GateVision, Spinnaker Planning Management System, Traffic Control and Genoa Breakbulk Management System. The applications have been deployed at numerous ports in Latin America, the U.S. and Europe, the company said. Tideworks also offers round-the-clock application support from a service center, as well as software updates as part of its standard software-maintenance and support service.
