SAP AG has expanded a strategic partnership with IBM, relating to the company's fast-start program for SAP Business All-in-One applications. The two companies will offer integrated business systems dedicated to small and mid-sized customers. Components include IBM Power Systems, System x and BladeCenter servers, along with SAP Business All-in-One and an optimized database and operating system. The expanded relationship will allow SAP, IBM and their respective partner channels to deliver industry-specific products based on Business All-in-One and IBM hardware and services. SAP has also joined with Satyam Computer Services Ltd. in a global services partnership to help companies' speed up their collaborative innovation programs. Satyam has become an official SAP global services partner, helping Fortune 1000 companies worldwide to rapidly implement SAP software. Satyam will invest in additional joint marketing and strategic planning efforts in tandem with SAP. In yet another company announcement, SAP revealed plans for the release of SAP NetWeaver Business Process Management and Business Rules Management. The move is intended to enhance NetWeaver as the platform of choice for customers' service-oriented architecture (SOA) strategies. SAP's Business Process Management application models and executes key processes based on the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) standard, with integration into the Eclipse development framework.
