Zetes Industries will market products and services from I.D. Systems, Inc., under a new agreement between the two companies. I.D. Systems is a provider of wireless systems for managing industrial vehicles. Zetes is a European systems integrator of automatic identification technologies. The deal combines I.D. Systems' expertise in the management of material-handling vehicles and operators with Zetes' suite of supply-chain applications, including voice-directed work, bar-coding and radio frequency identification (RFID). Zetes employs more than 700 people in 12 countries. In representing I.D. Systems' product line, it can offer broader functionality to customers in manufacturing, logistics, retail, transportation and government, the company said. Many of Zetes' customers operate forklift truck fleets, and are looking to reduce fleet maintenance costs, boost utilization levels, minimize downtime and reduce the cost of repairing damaged vehicles. I.D. Systems' Wireless Asset net system controls, tracks and manages material-handling vehicles and the individuals who operate them.
