According to the Center for Investigative Reporting, injury rates at Amazon.com warehouses have been far in excess of the industry average. In 2018 and 2019, certain Amazon facilities racked up a record of 20 or more injuries per 100 workers. The problem becomes even more acute as distribution centers ramp up to meet peak seasonal demand. So what’s to be done? He explains which kinds of injuries are most prevalent, where and why they occur, and what must be done to prevent them.
