Quantum physics is a mystery to most everyone, but that doesn’t stop innovators from attempting to apply quantum technologies at a practical level. In the case of the company called Quantum eMotion, that means developing a Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) to output unbreakable passwords. With the ability to be embedded in a portable USB-type key or microprocessor chip, the technology offers a “bullet-proof vest" to protect against cyber hackers, according to chief executive officer Francis Bellido. On this episode, he explains the underlying concept, along with how quantum theories can be translated into hardware that seeks to achieve the long-sought goal of secure encryption for the online universe. Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
