Quantum physics is a mystery to most everyone, but that doesn’t stop innovators from attempting to apply quantum technologies at a practical level. In the case of the company called Quantum eMotion, that means developing a Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) to output unbreakable passwords. With the ability to be embedded in a portable USB-type key or microprocessor chip, the technology offers a “bullet-proof vest" to protect against cyber hackers, according to chief executive officer Francis Bellido.
