Cadec Global has a new version of DeliveryTracker, a configurable mobile application that "extends a company's supply chain to the point of delivery." DeliveryTracker 2.0 is an optional software component to Cadec's fleet management systems.
Capabilities include barcode scanning; full detail invoice/manifest; payment/credit handling; electronic signature capture; and in-cab printing. Cadec says DeliveryTracker enables fleets to collect data using the industry's broadest range of handheld devices, including those from Honeywell/Handheld Products, Intermec and Motorola/Symbol. Data is conveyed as an XML file from the handheld to the Cadec on-board computer, and then relayed via wi-fi or cellular network back to the fleet's central office, where it can be integrated with supply chain management or enterprise resource planning systems.
