Global Software, Inc. has released version 12.1.1 of Executive Dash, the vendor's software for document storage and management. Global Software is a provider of automation and analysis tools, based on Microsoft's Excel spreadsheet program, to enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms. The new version contains pre-built queries and solutions, according to the company. Queries can be shared by email, or by sharing a single file. The new interface takes on a "ribbon" menu similar to that within Microsoft Office 2007. Expanded options within the interface allow for more precise control of complex calculated fields, when used as criteria in automated Excel reports. Technology employed in Global Software's Spreadsheet Server is now available in Executive Dash. The capability allows Executive Dash to interact with external document storage, such as invoice imaging systems, from simple query results or directly from the spreadsheet. New functionality in Excel 2007 allows Executive Dash directly to reference and populate the new table structures on a spreadsheet.
