The agreement will see the two sides launch an improved "spot" freight tracking tool on both companies' platforms that helps shippers by providing the exact location of in-transit cargo. The partnership is designed to deliver better services and lower costs to customers through the use of project44's end-to-end supply chain visibility data and Trans.eu's centralized transportation data.

Project44 says the spot transport tracking system will benefit customers in four ways. It will provide them with more accurate delivery times, and enable better decision-making thanks to tracking functions that help customers react to issues in real time. With information on when goods will arrive, the new capabilities will also enhance organizational planning. Lastly, the spot transport tracking system will save customers time and money by delivering efficient logistics processes that provide users with full control over transported products.
