Oracle has updated its supply chain management platform with artificial intelligence software, which it says can now automate a variety of tasks for procurement professionals, while speeding along the order fulfillment process.

“Our new AI agents help ease the administrative burden by streamlining workflows and automating routine tasks to enable greater accuracy and efficiency, smarter decision-making, and ultimately, a more agile and responsive supply chain," Oracle executive vice president of applications development Chris Leone said. 

The AI agents integrate with Oracle's Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing platform, and aim to provide insights into best practice operating procedures for procurement advisors, data on product forecasts for suppliers, and analysis for inspections advisors to determine whether products align with compliance requirements. The software can also summarize status updates on order returns, and predict when deliveries might arrive for customers, Oracle said.
