A case study about automating “wall-to-wall” inventory counts in the warehouse.
The international footwear producer Scholl was undergoing arduous annual inventory counts of its stock at a warehouse in Tholen, the Netherlands, managed by third-party logistics provider DSV. The highly manual procedure would take up to four days, freezing operations for that time. Enter Verity, provider of an AI-based tracking system that automated the process through the use of drones. On this episode, we discuss the case study that reduced the “wall-to-wall” count to a matter of hours, required no accompanying manual effort by humans, achieved near-perfect accuracy, and resulted in no interruption in daily operations. Our guests are Marcel Graus, inventory manager with DSV, and Stefan Niederhauser, head of client success with Verity. Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
This episode is sponsored by Verity.
