The CMA CGM Group has added two calls to its Black Pearl ocean container service, linking North America with Kingston, Jamaica. According to the carrier, the calls at Cartagena and Puerto Cabello will provide East Coast and Canadian customers with new opportunities in the Colombian and Venezuelan markets, respectively. The service offers transit times of 14 days between New York and Puerto Cabello, and eight days between Halifax and Cartagena. The port rotation will be New York, Halifax, Kingston (southbound), Cartagena, Puerto Cabello, Kingston (northbound) and back to New York. CMA CGM will service the trade with four containerships, each with a capacity of 1,300 twenty-foot equivalent units.
