Shipco Transport, a non-vessel operating common carrier (NVO) with offices in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, has launched a trans-Atlantic less-than-containerload (LCL) service linking Dubai, Bahrain, Doha and Kuwait with New York. Moving on the the ships of Maersk Line, cargo will be shipped intact directly from a partner in Dubai that is compliant with the U.S. Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. Shipco is partnering with Consolidated Shipping Services, LLC in Dubai, utilizing the latter's custom-built, 200,000-square-foot container freight station in the Jebel Ali Free Zone. CSS is an NVO based in the United Arab Emirates. Shipco, a wholly owned subsidiary of Denmark's Scan-Group, offers more than 200 direct consolidation services from global origins to North America. U.S. clients will be offered a direct service from the Middle East via Dubai to the New York hub, where cargo can continue to destinations throughout the U.S.
