Seeburger Inc. has created the Seeburger B2B Portal, a suite of management applications built around business-to-business transactions (B2B) via electronic data interchange (EDI). The action extends the functionality of Seeburger's flagship B2B gateway to enhance the administration and visibility of trading-partner relationships. The suite includes new utilities for EDI partner enablement, change management and supply-chain event management. The technology sits on a framework that allows data to be displayed within a single portal interface across a trading community. The new portal infrastructure also includes numerous existing Seeburger applications. The Seeburger B2B Portal is being rolled out in three core packages. BIS: Roll Out Services is is intended to speed up the addition of new customers and suppliers to the B2B Gateway from the industry average of 37 days to just 15 days, the vendor claimed. BIS: Partner Self-Service is a change-management tool which allows active trading partners to request online adjustments to EDI-related metadata, such as partner profiles, envelopes, delimiters, FTP addresses and AS2 certificates. BIS: Insight is a supply-chain event management suite which offers visibility into B2B and EDI transactions, events and exceptions.
