Owens Corning has named Seko Worldwide as a 2006 Global Logistics Carrier of the Year, in the International Freight Forwarder/Customs Brokerage category. The award by Owens Corning's Global Logistics Team recognized Seko for on-time performance, as well as the vendor's overall contribution to the customer's success during the year. Seko was one of a select group of carriers recently honored by Owens Corning at its world headquarters in Toledo, OH. Each year, the company names carriers of all modes for excellence in both inbound and outbound transportation services. "Our carriers redefine what is possible each day to provide the entire Owens Corning enterprise with ongoing superior service," said Jerry Ulm, global carrier relations leader. Owens Corning had sales of $6.5bn in 2006; it has some 19,000 employees in 26 countries. Seko, a global provider of supply-chain services, has 58 offices in North America, with representation in more than 40 countries.
