Slated to begin on April 1, 2014, the Manchester service will be operated by B777-200 aircraft and have a capacity of nine tons from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and 12 tons into KSA. The Los Angeles service will utilize B777-300 aircraft and have capacity for 6 tons from KSA and 8 tons into KSA. Both destinations will be served three times weekly. In another company announcement, Saudi Cargo added four freighter flights from Nairobi, Kenya to Amsterdam in the Netherlands during February, traditionally a peak month for the airline. The extra frequencies were operated with B747F aircraft, supplementing the carrier's six weekly scheduled flights. The addition was made in part to serve Kenyan flower traffic into Europe. Saudi Airlines Cargo operates a fleet of 15 freighters and sells belly capacity on 145 passenger aircraft for Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia.
