According to the carrier, the new link represents the first direct and regular service between the Mediterranean and North America for the roll-on/roll-off sector. It involves four vessels with total loading capacity of 25,000 cars. The port rotation is Gemlik, Turkey; Bar, Montenegro; Civitavecchia; Baltimore; Halifax and Antwerp, Belgium. The service will support Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for the export of its new models produced in Southern Italy, the Fiat 500X and Jeep Renegade – the first Jeep to be manufactured outside U.S. borders.
