RedTail Solutions is offering a hosted interface that works with version 7.3 of AccountMate, the accounting application for mid-market users from AccountMate Software Corp. RedTail's software-as-a-service (SaaS) tool handles all communications between trading partners and manufacturers and distributors using AccountMate through its RedTail Transaction Manager (RTTM). The latest version of AccountMate supports Microsoft Vista and the most recent security rules. According to RedTail, the new interface accommodates those changes so that users of the accounting and electronic data interchange (EDI) applications can upgrade to the latest versions of both. With the interface created by Figtree Consulting, Inc. EDI purchase orders are seamlessly moved to AccountMate sales orders, the vendor said. Once the items are shipped, information is passed to the RTTM to generate and transmit the EDI invoice to the trading partner. Preparation of the EDI advance shipping notice is also automated for companies using Accu-Dart software modules and handheld radio-frequency terminals to transmit shipping information in real time from the warehouse to the accounting system, RedTail said. The company is offering the new interface as part of its RedTail EDI service at no additional charge.
