The video-based driver-monitoring technology integrates with MiX's onboard computer and Web-based fleet-management platform. It maintains a rolling 72 hours of footage per vehicle, and automatically adds links to video clips within driver safety scoring reports. According to the vendor, MiX Vision can help fleets to make more informed decisions around incidents involving their drivers, identify drivers who may need additional coaching and training, prevent crashes and reduce insurance rates. Using video footage captured with in-vehicle cameras, MiX Vision provides front-facing and cab-facing video with sound. Within the 72 hours of rolling video, it allows for retrieval of any two-and-a-half-minute segment when needed. MiX Vision videos can be viewed alongside a timeline within MiX Fleet Manager.
